Montecito Sequoia Family Camp
2010 KILT Program Application
Thank you for your interest in the
Montecito Sequoia Family Camp KILT Program! The KILT Program (‘Kamper’-In-Leadership-Training
Program) is a three-week leadership course for high school
students, designed to teach participants about important
leadership fundamentals, the importance and rewarding nature of
hard work, and to instill the type of skills and work ethic we
look for in members of our staff. The program structure consists
of four parts: leadership training; assisting counselors in
their activity areas; “nitty-gritty” work; and free time to
enjoy camp activities. There are four levels in the KILT Program
– KILTs I-IV – with varying levels of responsibility. KILTs are
assigned to KILT Cabins (male and female) and live with either
the KILT Director or KILT Counselor. To apply for a KILT
session, you must at least be entering the 9th grade next fall.
We will be accepting 8 boys and 8 girls for each three-week
session.
The application below is the first step
towards becoming a Montecito KILT. Sections 1 and 2 must be
completed by the KILT Applicant. Section 3 must be completed by
a Parent or Legal Guardian. All fields must be answered, as
applications with missing information will not be processed.
A $100 application fee is required before the application is
processed. You will be contacted for payment option upon receipt
of your application. Applications will only be
accepted between January 1st, 2010 and April 1st, 2010.
