The Montecito-Sequoia Lodge is a family resort located at 7500 feet in the Giant Sequoia National Monument (Sequoia National Forest), between Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks. The Star Party will feature guest speakers, presentations, vendors, and activities of interest to intellectually curious amateur astronomers. Spectacular viewing sites are located at the lodge and less than a mile away in the Sequoia National Forest. Kids recreational, and educational activities will be offered throughout the weekend, so bring the entire family.

This year the Star Party will host the 1st Annual Small Planetarium Gathering. The gathering is a weekend-long work and play session for enthusiasts of small and/or portable planetariums. Star Party attendees are welcome to stop by to check out the equipment, and even participate in planetarium shows.
