Over the Christmas and New Year holidays we’ll be celebrating
with all kinds of fun holiday activities. There will be music
and singing in the evenings, indoor activities for all ages like
Arts & Crafts, Music and Theater Workshops, Cookie Baking and
Decorating, Cooking with Cardona, festive Sing-a-Longs, and of
course the ever popular outdoor activities like Snow-Shoeing and
Cross-Country Skiing, Snowboarding, building Snow Caves, and
playing on the Tubing Hill! Its been whispered that Santa Claus
and his Elves will be making a stop here at Montecito to meet
our guests and have some delicious homemade cookies and Eggnog,
and our New Year’s Eve Celebration is tons of fun with music and
dancing and singing.. You’ll also see some of your favorite
summer staff faces returning to come play with us over the
holidays, including: The Dude, Lorax, Pegasus, Mugsie, Greg
Knuckles, Spike, Katie at the Front Desk, Aztec, Chewie, Kong,
Nala, Snowy, Malibu, and more to be announced. Top it all off
with the delicious cuisine of our own Chef Cardona – preparing
Christmas Dinner and the New Year Feast with all of the
traditional and not-so-traditional trimmings - and this Season
couldn’t get any better! All this and more, here in the Winter
Wonderland of Montecito Sequoia!

Leading up to and over
Christmas, we have a
real treat planned in
the entertainment
department. Singer and
guitarist Craig
Copeland, violinist Dave
Dally, and cellist
Margie Dally will be
joining us here at the
Lodge, bringing all the
festive good cheer and
holiday music they can
carry with them. Mr.
Copeland is a top
recording artist in Los
Angeles and leads his
own variety band. The
Dallys perform with the
Monterey String Quartet.
All three of them are
Vacation Family Camp
favorites for their
broad and versatile
musical repertoires and
friendly personable
selves, and we know you
will enjoy them at
Christmastime. They will
be providing music
during our wine-tasting
event, and also in the
evenings for Holiday
Sing-A-Longs and
entertainment. If you
play a musical
instrument, please bring
it with you so you can
join in! We’re so
pleased they’re joining
us, and we just know
they’ll help make
spirits bright!

Pianist and musical
entertainer Rob Bowers,
a.k.a. “Player”, will be
joining us for the week
after Christmas and our
New Year Celebration.
You’ll hear him playing
during our wine-tasting
event and also at dinner
throughout the week. As
a new addition this
Season, we’ll be hosting
two evenings of casual
“cabaret-style” music
during this time - so
bring your favorite
music along to sing, or
use some of his! It will
be a fun and relaxing
way to end the day. If
you play a musical
instrument, please bring
it with you so you can
join in! Player is also
well-known here at
Montecito for his
amazing ability to bring
the performer out in
just about anyone, so
we’ll be giving engaging
music and singing
workshops for children
as well as for adults.
In his daily life, Rob
is a Teaching Artist
with the Los Angeles
Music Center, bringing
the magic of music and
theater to students and
teachers. He is a
professional
composer/lyricist/entertainer
in the Los Angeles area,
and he was also the
musician of the week
during Week 11 of Family
Camp. We are happy to
have him with us this
Winter Holiday!
