Covid-19 Safety Measures

Montecito Sequoia is Located in Tulare County

Tulare County California-Tier Status:

Orange Tier

(Note:  We will update our protocols as Tulare County's Tier Status changes according to the State of California)

NOTE:  The State of California will be issuing new Covid-guidelines for those fully vaccinated and those not yet vaccinated for Covid-19 on June 15, 2021:

For those guests who are fully vaccinated, we recommend that you bring proof of vaccination (copy or photograph) of your CDC Covid-19 vaccination card with you as we assess the new protocols.  Thank you!

  • Please contact us if you or a member of your family/party has any Covid-19 symptoms, or if they have come into contact with someone who has tested positive, or have been asked to quarantine, for Covid-19.  We will cancel or reschedule your visit.

  • We ask guests and staff to stay home if they are not feeling well.

  • Temperature/Wellness checks will be conducted for staff and guests.

  • Guests (aged 2 and up) must wear face masks in public areas (including out-of-doors when closer than 6 feet to anyone outside of your household).

  • Guests must wear masks when interacting with our staff (indoors or outdoors)

  • Our staff must wear masks while working and while interacting with guests, the public, or other staff members; certain staff members, such as food service and housekeeping, will wear additional PPE, such as gloves and/or face shields.

  • Guests and staff members are asked to wash their hands with soap and water often, or use hand sanitizer.  Hand sanitizer available to guests & staff.

  • Floors are marked for social distancing for our Food Service line.

  • Guests may dine outdoors at our patio tables or in their rooms/cabins (safest).

  • Since Tulare County is currently in the Orange Tier, we will offer limited (up to 50% capacity) indoor dining, but guests can only share a table with members of their immediate household, and must wear masks when not sitting down at the table to eat/drink.

  • We also ask guests to be considerate of their fellow guests by bussing and vacating their table immediately after finishing your meal, so that other fellow guests can dine indoors after you.

  • Please bus your own tables and put garbage/recyclables in the appropriate trash receptacles around the property.  Thank you!

  • Limited Grab 'n go snacks available in the public-area kitchen.

  • High traffic areas will be cleaned more often.

  • Rooms will be thoroughly cleaned prior to guest arrival, but no daily housekeeping will be offered during your stay; if you need anything during your stay, please ask for assistance at our front desk.

  • Individually wrapped toiletries are in-room; more can be requested from the front desk.

  • Activities will be offered based on Covid-safety protocols and staffing levels during the pandemic.

"Love the camp feel and felt very safe during COVID...I was skeptical that we could travel during a pandemic and thoroughly enjoy ourselves, but it was one of our best trips ever.  We felt very safe with protocols in place with staff, required masks and no housekeeping visits to the room during the stay...It was such a great in between spot to explore both parks.  We would love to return!"

"It's worth mentioning their COVID-19 safety protocols were above and beyond; they made us feel very comfortable staying there.  We would absolutely come back and stay again."

"We stay in a forest view cabin which costs more, but the deck and views are worth it.  We felt safe with their COVID protocols and already registered for next summer!"
